A JURY has been given a majority direction as it considers verdicts in the trial of the Oxford parents of a young Muslim convert dubbed Jihadi Jack.

Organic farmer John Letts, 58, and former Oxfam fundraising officer Sally Lane, 57, allegedly sent - or tried to send - sums totalling £1,723 after their son Jack Letts travelled to Syria at the age of 18.

The couple, from Oxford, have denied three charges of funding terrorism.

Old Bailey Judge Nicholas Hilliard QC sent the jury out to start deliberating on Monday at 2.43pm.

This afternoon, he told the 12 jurors he would accept verdicts on which at least 10 of them were agreed.
