AN Oxford University college has officially opened new music studios.

The Clore Music Studios will provide New College students with practice facilities.

Situated two minutes’ walk from the entrance to the main college in Holywell Street, the new facilities feature seven separate studios.

The college has thanked donors, including the Clore Duffield Foundation after whom the building is named.

As part of the project, the site of some remaining sections of 17th century civil war ramparts were exposed and have been marked with a commemorative plaque.
