OXFORD will be hit by heavy rain throughout this morning as the unseasonable June weather continues.

There is an 80 per cent chance of heavy rain between 7am and 10am, according to the Met Office.

This will ease throughout the morning but some showers will persist. The forecast for most of the rest of the day is overcast.

Things are unlikely to get any better tomorrow either with more rain on the way, particularly in the afternoon where there is currently an 80 per cent chance of rain at around 3pm.

Temperatures are also down on what they should be at this time of year with highs of 13C today and 14C tomorrow.

More light showers are also likely in the remainder of the week although some sun is predicted as well.

It comes after an amber weather warning was put in place for parts of Oxfordshire yesterday.

Homes and businesses in the south of the county were warned over possible flooding due to the deluge of rain.

These warnings remain in place for parts of the UK but have now been lifted in Oxfordshire.
