SLIDES, swings and hollowed out logs will now provide a children's wonderland of play equipment at Bicester Village.

The designer outlet, in Pingle Drive, Bicester, has turned its attentions to providing something extra for families and children to enjoy.

Tomorrow the Village will officially unveil its new playground to the public, complete with activities and games for children to enjoy throughout the afternoon.

The new 'natural play environment' has been created by Touchwood, who specialise in this type of playground for children of all ages to enjoy.

It consists of all sort of adventurous tunnels, slides and nooks for children to discover.

There is also a tall look-out tower that has been built by Touchwood, whose mantra is 'our work is play'.

The vast wooden structure provides children the chance to explore the outdoor-style playground and enjoy exercise after trailing the shopping Village.

To celebrate, Bicester village will host families for a day of activities and fun tomorrow hosted by Sharky and George.

The day will include complimentary games for children, face painting, a treasure hunt, and selection of craft activities for the family.

Children will also be given the chance to decorate their own headbands or bird box to take away, and organisers have also said children will have the chance to 'help Peter Pan overcome the dastardly pirates'.

The official opening event will run from 11am to 4pm.

Bicester Village's playground addition is the latest in the shopping outlets expansion which in October 2017 included the introduction of more than 30 new boutiques, shops and restaurants.

The new shops took the total to more than 160 at Bicester Village – almost a fifth bigger than previously.
