A WOMAN who carried her heart in a rucksack has been posthumously awarded her masters degree.
Rebecca Henderson was studying a Masters in Medieval Studies at Oxford University when she died in February from transplant complications.
The university's education committee has now decided to award her the degree because she had completed the majority of the work.
Her parents will attend her graduation ceremony in her honour.
Ms Henderson, 24, had her entire heart removed after doctors discovered a tumour the size of a large egg in 2017.
