EVER wondered how the other half live - or more specifically, how much their houses cost?

We've consulted property experts Zoopla to find out the five most expensive streets in Oxford and how much they estimate a house on one of them could cost. 

While the average price for a 3-bed house listed on Zoopla in Oxford is £442,069 (if that isn't expensive enough), there are also some eye-wateringly priced mansions for those with the deepest pockets. 

According to property buying site Zoopla, these are Oxford's most expensive streets.

All five are in just one postcode area, and are a short distance from one another in OX2, Summertown and Park Town.

Highest value streets for property using Zoopla's 'Zed Index' - and average estimated price

1. Bradmore Road, Oxford OX2 - £5,618,081

The most expensive house on this street is worth an estimated £10 million. I 

The detached house last sold in April 2006 for £2.4m.

2. Crick Road, Oxford OX2 - £4,456,922

The most expensive house here is estimated at £6.7m.

3. Chadlington Road, Oxford OX2 - £3,302,373

4. Linton Road, Oxford OX2 - £2,968,839

5. Northmoor Road, Oxford OX2 - £2,543,92

In addition to the most expensive, Zoopla has also rounded-up the streets with the highest turnover - ie the ones where houses go up for sale most frequently.

That is worked out by dividing the number of sales over the last 5 years (excluding new build properties) by the number of homes in a given area.


The 5 highest turnover streets are:

  1. Goodey Close, Littlemore, Oxford OX4 - 56.2%
  2. Chapel Street, Oxford OX4 - 54.5%
  3. Tyndale Place, Wheatley, Oxford OX33 - 52.6%
  4. Krebs Gardens, Oxford OX4 - 50.0%
  5. The Dale, Headington, Oxford OX3 - 47.8%
