ALLOTMENT holders in Oxford are being warned to secure their sheds following a number of break-ins.
Thames Valley Police said attempted burglaries have taken place at the Twenty Pound Meadow allotments and West Oxford Community Centre in Botley Road on Thursday.

The offenders forced their way in but at this stage it is not thought that anything was taken.
Police said many sheds including those on allotments ‘fell short’ on basic security and urged allotment holders to use tamper proof screws and ensure all tools and equipment are locked away when they are not being used.
