SNAPPERS from the Oxford Mail Camera Club were getting up close and personal with their subjects this week.
It was a tough competition, with a lot of entries focusing on the world of wildlife and nature to meet the theme.
Out of many strong choices, Luke Chambers' shot of this zebra jumping spider is a well-deserving winner.
Luke not only managed to capture a subject known for its quick movements, but got a great shot showing the spider's gleaming eyes and even the hairs on its legs and body.
He said: "While the spider was walking around the budding leaves, taking quick glances in my direction every few seconds or so, that’s when I started snapping away."
