A DRUG dealer caught with a stash of class A drugs at an Oxford guest house has been convicted of all counts.

Leon Wyatt, of Holyhead Road, Coventry, had denied two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs crack cocaine and heroin, and a further count of possessing criminal property.

Prosecutors during his his trial at Oxford Crown Court said that the 19-year old came to Oxford from the West Midlands in September, together with another man, to ply drugs from the Summertown area of the city.

Jurors were told that he was caught with a haul of drugs at the Lonsdale Guest House, Banbury Road.

Inside the guest house, jurors were told, a haul of Class A drugs was found made up of 88 wraps of cocaine and heroin, with a street value of about £940.

Wyatt had claimed he had nothing to do with any drug dealing operation.

At the end of his brief trial on Wednesday jurors took three hours and 28 minutes to find guilty on all three counts by a unanimous verdict.

After the verdict had been handed down it was revealed by prosecutors that Wyatt had 10 previous convictions for 12 offences.

Among his previous convictions was one for possession with intent to supply cannabis in July 2017.

Wyatt was remanded in custody following the verdict so that he can be sentenced together with his co-defendant, Sean McCabe, who has already admitted his role in the 'county lines' drug dealing operation.

The pair will appear again at the same court to be sentenced on March 28.
