HUNDREDS of thousands of people have signed a petition asking the government to revoke Article 50.

But how many people in Oxfordshire have signed it?

LATEST: Brexit march: Oxfordshire remainers set for historic event

By law, the government must debate any petition with more than 100,000 signatures. So far, this one has close to 800,000.

An interactive map shows how many people in your constituency have signed.

What is Article 50?

The UK voted in June 2016 to leave the European Union on March 29, 2019.

Under The Lisbon Treaty, any country wishing to leave the EU must undertake a five-step plan under Article 50.

But what's happening with Brexit right now?

... Where do we start?!

Things are not going to plan (does anyone know what the plan was?)

So far, Theresa May has failed to get her deal passed by MPs.

She has to go to the European Union today and ask for an extension, pushing the leave date back to June 30, 2019.

Earlier, European Council president Donald Tusk said he believed a short delay “would be possible” after he spoke to the Prime Minister by phone.

But he said that the extension – which must be agreed unanimously by the EU27 – was likely to be conditional on Mrs May succeeding in forcing her twice-rejected Brexit deal through Parliament.
