A NEWBORN baby was found in the toilets of the John Radcliffe Hospital yesterday evening.
Police launched an appeal to trace the mother who had 'gone missing' last night, and confirmed this morning that she had since been located.
The newborn baby boy is now doing 'doing well', according to police and is being cared for by medical staff.
The woman gave birth to the boy at around 6pm, according to Oxford University Hospitals.
The infant was later found alone in the toilets by a member of hospital staff.

The mother is now receiving medical treatment.
It is not known what area of the hospital the baby was found and Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the John Radcliffe, has refused to give any further details.
