Bicester Heritage will provide the backdrop for the new Batman spin-off called Pennyworth, a new 10-part series about Batman's butler.

Bicester Heritage managing director Dan Geoghegan said: "The filming by Warner Brothers certainly brought life and excitement to what could have been a grey and wintery week.

"The flight scenes were particularly spectacular, they lit up the social media and were clearly enjoyed by ourselves and neighbours alike."

Mr Geoghegan added: "Film production is a great way to introduce Bicester and what it has to offer, putting us on the map from a new and cultural perspective via the big screen.

"Alongside global blockbusters ’The Imitation Game’ and ‘Darkest Hour’, both with significant scenes filmed at Bicester Heritage, ‘Pennyworth’ adds to the body of professional cinematography that not only captures how the former RAF Bicester might have been, but also its revived spirit in the modern era."
