A 66-YEAR-OLD jogger was attacked by a group of teenage boys in Witney town centre.

The victim cut his knee and received swelling to his lip in the assault on Mill Street at around 5pm on Monday.

It is unconfirmed how many teenagers were involved, but the boy who attacked the victim is described as white, aged between 16 and 18-years-old, about six foot tall and with short brown hair. He was wearing a red jacket.

The jogger did not require hospital treatment following the attack and police are now appealing for witnesses.

Investigating officer, PC James Dyson, based at Witney police station, said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who saw this incident, or who has any information which they think could help our investigation, to get in touch."
