A GARAGE is set to be knocked down and replaced with a two-storey house – but only if plans are given the green light by Oxford City Council.

The garage, on Albert Street in Jericho, was built in the 1960s.

Since then, the council has approved two planning applications to knock down the single storey brick building, and replace it with a house, but neither scheme was ever implemented.

As it is, the garage is set back from the pavement and in a risk-of-flooding area.

If plans are approved, a two-bedroom modern house will replace the garage.
