JOURNALIST and TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson will sign copies of his latest book in Chipping Norton.

The presenter lives in the town and will be at Jaffé & Neale Bookshop & Café on Friday, November 23 to sign copies of his new book If You’d Just Let Me Finish.

Mr Clarkson was axed from the BBC’s Top Gear programme for attacking a producer and now presents The Grand Tour for subscription channel Amazon Prime.

The visit to Jaffé & Neale in the Market Place will be Mr Clarkson’s only UK book signing.

Jaffé & Neale Bookshop & Café are independent booksellers who opened in Chipping Norton in 2001 and Stow-on-the-Wold in 2016.

Owners Polly Jaffé and Patrick Neale learnt the importance of customer service and personalised book selection while working for Waterstones in the 1980s and 90s.

The shop won Independent Bookshop of the Year in 2007 and Mr Neale was President of the Booksellers Association from 2011 to 2013.

A spokesman for the store said: “The book signing starts at 6.30pm on a first come, first served basis.

“Please be aware Jeremy Clarkson will only be signing copies of If You’d Just Let Me Finish bought from Jaffé & Neale Bookshop & Café.”

Mr Clarkson began his career on the Rotherham Advertiser. Since then he has written for The Sun, The Sunday Times, the Rochdale Observer, the Wolverhampton Express & Star and Lincolnshire Life.
