RESIDENTS are invited to attend a public exhibition today on plans to build a new bridge over the River Thames just outside Abingdon.
Oxfordshire County Council has proposed several schemes aimed at improving roads around Abingdon and Didcot that are seen as ‘no longer fit for purpose’.
Detailed plans, which include a long-awaited new bridge at Culham and a bypass at Clifton Hampden, were unveiled last month.
Following the consultation, the proposed measures will be put forward as part of the council’s Housing Infrastructure Fund bid to support the building of 22,000 homes.
Today's drop-in consultation session will be held at Didcot Civic Hall from 12pm to 8pm.
Plans will also be online until November 25 at oxfordshire.gov.uk/didcot
