POLICE want residents to share their views on travellers who camped in a Kidlington park.

A community meeting will be held at St John's Hall, The Broadway, at 7pm tonight to discuss the group of caravans that parked up next to the playground and community football pitches in Ron Groves Park in June.

The group spent almost a week on the site, with Cherwell District Council teams completing a clean-up of the park at public expense after they left

Maurice Billington, county councillor for Kidlington South, previously said the travellers had left behind a 'right mess' with 'rubbish everywhere'.

Thames Valley Police have invited residents to tonight's meeting to discuss 'what happened, legislation and concerns'.

Representatives of Cherwell District Council and Kidlington Parish Council will also be in attendance.
