POLICE have released CCTV images after a man was kicked and had his head stamped on during a violent attack in Oxford.
Between 6am and 6.30am on Sunday, August 19, a 35-year-old man was punched in the head on St Clements' Street.
He was knocked unconscious following the initial assault and fell to the ground before the attacker kicked and stamped on his head.
The victim was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with head and jaw injuries and has since been discharged.
Investigating Officer Detective Constable Rosie Campbell, based at St Aldates police station, said: “We are appealing for anyone who recognises the man in these images as we believe he may be able to help our enquiries.
“If you recognise this man then please get in touch with police.”
