A PEACE memorial in Witney has been given Grade II listed status.
The little known memorial is part of a number of public spaces chosen by Historic England to give either new or upgraded listed status.
The West Oxfordshire piece was commissioned by a woman to commemorate peace at the end of the First World War and the safe return of all those who survived the conflict - including her two sons.
Historic England chose the memorial after receiving hundreds of public nominations for sites across England.
