OXFORD City Council has announced the members who will champion key issues.

The councillors will look to engage with key community groups and people around Oxford on particular issues.

Shaista Aziz will be its workforce champion, to work towards making the city council representative of Oxford's population.

Pat Kennedy will be the council's older people's champion, while Mark Lygo will be its champion for sports in school.

Martyn Rush will be its Living Wage champion to promote uptake of the Oxford Living Wage around the city. That is currently £9.69 an hour and is paid at 95 per cent of the London Living Wage.
