OXFORD United has donated Helen & Douglas House a unique car signed by all of its players.

The struggling children’s hospice is auctioning the car to help secure the future of its services, as part of its Radiothon fundraiser with Jack FM.

The Rover Metro car, which has clocked up 103,500 miles, was driven by players as a forfeit if they put in the worst effort in training.

Hannah Barrett of Helen & Douglas House said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to Oxford United for donating this unique car.

"We hope it will raise lots of money to help local children and their families who come to Helen & Douglas House with the challenges they face.”

Bidding closes at 4pm tomorrow – for details or to bid, see the listing on eBay.

So far 16 people have bid, and the offer at 5.30pm stood at £180.
