TRAINS are set to run from before 6am through until after 11pm according to the new timetables set out for two Oxfordshire stations opening this month.

Oxford Parkway and also Bicester Village Station – which replaces the former Bicester Town Station – are set to open on Monday, October 26.

Once open, the first train on the new line to London Marylebone on weekdays will leave Oxford Parkway at 5.42am, stopping at Bicester at 5.52am, while the last service will leave Oxford at 11.21pm and Bicester at 11.30pm.

Coming out of London, the last train on weekdays will be 11.10pm, getting into Bicester Village Station at 12.06am and Oxford Parkway at 12.17am.

Services will run about every half an hour throughout the day and more frequently at peak times.

Chiltern Railways staff have dubbed the new line a ‘historic moment’ for Oxfordshire as they gear up for the launch.

In celebration, the team has also launched a new uniform and in true Oxford Style took to punting along the River Cherwell to test them out.

Chiltern Railways customer service director Jennifer Payne said: “The new Oxford Parkway to London line is a historic moment for Oxfordshire. The new uniform is classic yet fashionable with a quirky twist.”
