THE developer behind the £100m redevelopment of Botley’s West Way shopping centre has appealed against the council's decision to reject it.
Doric Properties has published its intention to appeal to the Secretary of State against the Vale of White Horse District Council planning committee’s decision earlier this month <<weddec3>>.
Councillors voted 13-0 against the proposals at a packed planning meeting on Wednesday December 3.
The developers want to demolish Field House sheltered accommodation and Elms Parade and surrounding shops for a supermarket, gym, hotel, six-screen cinema, library, 525 student rooms and 50 flats.
The appeal will be heard by the planning inspectorate and landowners and tenants have until January 2 to make representations.
