On Behalf of the Marlborough Christmas Lights Association (MCLA) I would like to thank all the sellers and buyers who braved the wet and windy bank holiday weather to support us on Marlborough Common in raising funds for Marlborough's festive lighting. The car boot sale was our first fundraiser this year and added £145 after expenses to the kitty.
I would like to thank Marlborough Town Council for allowing us the use of the common and their groundsmen who managed to mow and strim the grass at very short notice.
My thanks also go to Marlborough Rugby Club for providing a barbecue and allowing us to use their facilities.
Finally, I would like to thank the mayor, Bryan Castle for all his dedication and enthusiasm.
