HALF the new properties on the controversial housing development at Clanville Road, Minehead have been sold, according to builders Barratt Homes.
The company says buyers of the two- and three-bedroom houses and apartments, costing from £164,950 to £206,950, include families, professional couples and people looking for a second or holiday home.
Sales negotiator Sue Frost-Wilson, who is based at the development, said: "They really have sold fast."
A total of 48 properties are to be built on the site, formerly the town's largest car park.
