SUNDAY: Ellisfield's annual bluebell walk leaves Lower Common at 10am and finishes approximately three hours later at The Fox Inn. This walk is organised by the people who look after the Parish Paths and is for visitors and residents alike. No charge.

For more information, contact Peter Hopwood on 381321, Ted Dowson on 381529 or Paul Turner on 381269.

ANNUAL parish meeting: Nearly 50 people attended this event in the Memorial Hall last Friday. It was good to see so many people taking an interest in what goes on in the village.

Tim Guinness, chairman of the parish council, gave his annual report of parish council activity and representatives from all village organisations reviewed last year's village events and gave an insight into plans for this year.

PUB quiz: Another good turnout last Sunday evening and once again The Village People (aka Mark, Joanne, Nicky and Jon) won, beating last week's winners The Supporters Club by eight points.

WOODEN Posts: You may have noticed these on the slope at the north end of Lower Common, these are to deter vehicles from entering the common.

ACTION for ME sponsored walk: Sunday, May 13, starting and finishing at The Fox Inn.

Following the walk there will be refreshments available, entertainment and an auction of promises.

Do try and support this event.

If you are not able to join the walk, why not make a donation via Camilla's website www.justgiving. com/camillaswalk For more details, call Hannah Houstin-Lacey on 381863.

SUPERMODELS: Ladies Club members Debbie Foster, Nicky Harvey, Sue Self, Sue Taylor, Joanne Thomas and Helen Van der Meer took to the catwalk at last week's fashion road.
