THE Ram Jam Band took to the Citadel stage without their front man, all in black they opened with a couple of instrumentals.
With just a few notes the brass section soon has the crowd in the groove.
Then Geno appeared and he slipped straight into his old school soul and funk.
He sang tracks from his 60s Hand Clappin' album and a selection of old favourites and covers.
In between songs he enjoyed plenty banter with the audience, dedicating a medley to Van Morrison that included Wild Thing by The Troggs.
Papas Got A Brand New Bag, I'll Put A Spell On You and Knock On Wood were all thrown in to the mix and the crowd lapped it up.
The encore included Everybody Needs Somebody and The Stones Jumpin' Jack Flash.
Although the set was a little on the short side, everyone had a good time.
How could they not, after all Geno is very charismatic on stage.
He still has a strong voice and enjoys a joke with the crowd.
