Former Durham University student Michael Bracegirdle, above, returns to the city next week to sing the tenor roles in Eugene Onegin and The Seraglio in an English Touring Opera double bill.
He trained with the Royal Northern College of Music and last year won the Emmy Destinn Award for Young Singers. Roles with several opera companies in the UK followed as well as performances in classical concerts, including the Proms in the Park in London.
He sings the roles of Pedrillo in Mozart's The Seraglio on Monday and Lensky in the Tchaikovsky opera on Tuesday. Tickets are £25, £23.50 concessions, £22 for Friends, £10 restricted view, or see both shows for £42.
