ON a warm sunny April day, we all met at The Granary Hotel, Shenstone for lunch to celebrate our 37th birthday.

Pauline Roberts, chairman welcomed us and our president, Pamela Green said Grace. Our meal was then served, which everyone agreed was delicious.

After coffee and mints, Pauline read a few notices.

She was pleased to announce that the Bring and Buy sales table at the March meeting had raised £61.50 which had been donated to Mary Steven's Hospice.

The cost of the trip to Marjorie Bishop's garden at Malvern would be £20 to include coach and demonstration.

Payment requested at the May meeting.

The sales table for May would be selling garden plants.

In future it has been decided that there will be fewer sales during the year.

Wollaston Guild are proposing a visit to Chester on June 6, if any of our members are interested names should be given to Joyce Coggins.

They also extended an invitation to two of our members to attend a Make-up evening on May 18.

A posy of flowers, provided and arranged by Pauline had been placed on each table and one person with the lucky ticket took home the flowers.

Many thanks to Pauline.

Our next meeting will be at 7.30pm on May 5 at Oldswinford Primary School, Field Lane, when the speaker will be Gabriella, her topic Peep behind the Iron Curtain'.

The competition is a pretty tea cup and saucer. Visitors and new members will be very warmly welcomed.
