A village church which needed somone to look after its clock has been found - thanks to the Echo.
A clock at St Nicholas's Church, in the High Street, Great Wakering, was stuck at ten to two after the person responsible for winding it on gave up the post.
However, after the Echo ran the story about the problem, two kind villagers came forward to lend a hand.
Mark Webber and James Wilson now make sure Great Wakering keeps up with the rest of the country.
The Rev Bill Frewin, priest at the church, previously said: "In Great Wakering, we are at the end of the line and less than half a mile from the seawall. We have always had the feeling that we have been on a slightly different time to the rest of the world."
