WINDERMERE Hockey Club's men team lifted the Cumbria Cup at the weekend without conceding a goal as they beat opponents who play at a higher league level.
Defeats of NW League Div 3 sides Glaxo and West Cumbria by 3-0 and 2-0 on Saturday put NW 7 side Windermere into Sunday's final stages, where they triumphed against Kendal (1-0) and Carlisle (1-0) to secure the trophy and qualify for the national cup competition.
