A ten-year-old girl has handed a cheque for £1,100 to Manorlands hospice, after carrying out a sponsored walk.
Elizabeth Kayley, of Haworth, presented the money to a pair of Manorlands nurses.
She had originally hoped to raise about £400.
But the amount soared to more than twice that amount in the week following the walk.
Elizabeth trekked around the hills of Haworth in January, on the day before her birthday.
She was accompanied on the sponsored walk by her family and friends from her school - Oakworth Primary.
The group walked for an hour, starting and finishing at the Oakworth school.
Elizabeth first had the idea for the walk before Christmas. Her mother, Vicky, is a health care support worker at Manorlands.
Vicky said Elizabeth decided to organise the walk instead of having a birthday party, because she already had enough possessions.
