Godalming 1 v 3 Dartford

Ryman League Division One South

COULD Dartford be hitting the right form at the right time?

With just eight games to go, Tony Burman's men had now recorded back-to-back wins ahead of tonight's trip to struggling Ashford Town.

Goals from Mark Green, Jay May and a Ryan Hayes penalty secured all three points.

The Darts are fourth in the table and although they have a six-point cushion between them and the teams on the fringe of the play-offs, they have played at least one, and in the case of Tooting & Mitcham three, games more.

Burman said: "We have decided there is nothing we can do about their games in hand.

"We cannot rely on anyone beating Tooting and we have just got to win our games and that is what we are putting over to the players."

He added: "If we win our game, we will have a good chance of getting what we want and that is the way we're approaching everything."

On the weekend's three points, Burman said: "Godalming was a difficult place to go because they are fighting for survival.

"The pitch was not the best and was very bumpy and uneven, and the wind was horrendous across the pitch.

"So it was not going to be a spectacular game but this time on a poor pitch we played it better than our opponents.

"All in all it was a good result and exactly what we wanted."
