Bruce Thomson, aged 35, of Rectory Road, Oldswinford, has invested £120,000 over the past year to create 30 new jobs at marketing company Baker Goodchild.
The city centre business uses state of the art technology to contact potential customers for companies in the financial sector.
Bruce said: "In my view, there are too many companies choosing to outsource their call centre operations to other countries, believing it will save money.
"We'd rather focus on training and developing the skills of local people."
