DAVE George was sent off for the second time in six weeks as Bradford's season ended with a heavy defeat at Minety.

The Broom Ground coach was banished from the touchline after running onto the field to break up a fight while the play was still going on.

He was forced to watch the remainder of the game through a hole in a hedge as Bradford saw their slim chances of finishing fifth in Dorset and Wilts One North slip away.

Said George: "I wasn't going to just stand by and watch one of my friends get beaten up.

"The game wasn't really worth watching anyway. It was a typical end-of-season match and it showed in our attitude."

George was also annoyed with the standard of the facilities at Minety's Playing Fields ground.

He said: "We warmed up on the first team pitch, but then we moved to the second pitch out the back. The slope was that big you needed crampons to get up it.

"The whole preparation was really bad. We had to share the changing rooms with the Melksham 2nd team. It's no wonder Minety win all their home games."

Joe Thomson kicked Bradford into an early 3-0 lead, before Minety surged to victory with 41 unanswered points.

Bradford travel to Bude today for an end-of-season tour which includes a sevens match as well as a full game.
