A birdie plus 11 pars just helped David Currie to victory in Rochford Hundred's April medal on Saturday.
Currie shot 76-8=68 to earn a one shot handicap cut which puts him out of contention for the club's Leslie Wood side.
And he only squeezed home in Division One thanks to a better back nine after Lee Winsor's 73-5=68 - three birdies and 11 pars - with a double bogey spoiling his chances.
Cadet captain Christian Foreman (69-1=68) also missed out on countback but enjoyed five birdies and 10 pars.
Division Two winner John Hodges (84-13=71) also won on countback from Mitchell Smith (87-16=71).
Hodges had a see-saw round with a birdie and eight pars helping to repair the damage of a couple of triple bogeys.
Highlights for Smith were five pars.
Ken Trusler notched five pars on his way to 89-18=71 and a Division Three win over Joseph Garnett, whose 90-18=72 included a hat-trick of pars.
Jonathan Evans took Sunday's Division One prize thanks to three birdies and 11 pars in his 73-6=67, which was too hot for cadet Tom Owen, who hit two birdies plus 11 pars for 74-5=69.
Competitions chairman Ivor Finer's 82-15=67 saw him cruise to victory in Division Two over Patrick Gilbert (82-12=70).
Finer chalked up seven pars while Gilbert fired three birdies and six pars but was not helped by a triple and two double bogeys.
Jerry Gibson strolled home in Division Three when his 91-21=70 was way ahead of David Webb's 97-21=76.
Rochford's midweek Stableford was won by Pat White who had a couple of birdies and nine pars in his 41 points to edge out Steve Weidner, Craig Loxton and Luke Fraser by a point.
Rochford still has a few vacancies for five, six and seven day members plus ladies.
