Martin Linton MP has recently stated that he is not campaigning to save the Bolingbroke because the services are not in any real danger. But it is very obvious that they are.
There are a number of reasons why none of the options given by the trust for the services so excellently provided by the Bolingbroke are acceptable - it is certainly not just a question of moving them into a new building.
The only sensible option would be to retain them where they are until the Bolingbroke can be further developed as the community hospital for Battersea, as planned in 2004. This is what local residents have overwhelmingly expressed to be their choice and is what the council's health committee has included in their own consultation.
