A disabled man in West Ewell who uses poetry as therapy has won a new fan with his verse - Her Majesty the Queen.
Moeze Lalji, 48, sent the monarch a personal message when the Brickfield Centre mental health team encouraged him to release his positive feelings through poetry.
Shortly afterwards he received a thank you letter, signed by the lady-in-waiting, saying the Queen had appreciated his "kind" words.
Mr Lalji said: "The Queen has made me very happy and I want to express gratitude for the way she has boosted my self-confidence and self-esteem, and made other disabled people feel that society cares for, and appreciates, their feelings."
