BOROUGH council chiefs are warning its services could be disrupted for two weeks while staff move home.
The disruption is anticipated from Friday May 11 to Friday May 25, as staff switch to a new council HQ in Sandbach.
New computer and telephone systems are being installed over this period, and the council is assuring people disruption will be kept to a minimum.
"Our staff are gearing up to the office move, which begins on May 11," said council chief executive Glyn Chambers.
"Residents can be reassured that any disruptions to council services will be kept to an absolute minimum."
Residents can call the main switchboard number, 01270-763231, which will remain active for six months after the move, or go online at www.congleton.gov.uk.
"The changes are part of the office centralisation programme, a series of projects that will enable all council services to be organised from a central location," said Mr Chambers.
"This will mean better co-ordination, a modern One Stop Shop in Sandbach and opportunities for efficiencies and improved working practices."
