Farsley Celtic 1, Kettering Town 1

The Celts are still alive in the Conference North play-offs after a draw against the full-timers in the first leg at Throstle Nest tonight.

They took the lead against Kettering, one of the few clubs in the division to have full-time players, when Damian Reeves broke the deadlock in the 18th minute.

The visitors hit back with just a quarter of an hour remaining, Brett Sokhon hitting the target to huge cheers from the midlands outfit's contingent in the bumper crowd of 1,621.

"I would have taken a draw before the game," admitted Sinnott.

"The players are disappointed but it is only jockeying for position in the first leg. I'm confident we can go to finish the job on Saturday.

"We have no qualms about going down to their place to have to do it.

"To have a one-off game with the scores level ahead of us, we are in a position exactly the same as last year when we won promotion through the play-offs.

"I am happy at the moment. I thought we were first class."
