I HAVE noted that an increasing number of articles and correspondence in your paper relate to the overdevelopment of Durham, and our beautiful World Heritage site.
As a resident of the city I, too, am deeply concerned about the thoughtless development which is ruining our city's heritage, taking away our precious green spaces and the ancient character and charm for which Durham is worldrenowned.
No wonder tourism in the city is down, as reported recently in your paper.
There is one solution to this - to vote out the Liberal Democratcontrolled city council at the local elections tomorrow, for it is they who have been responsible for the overdevelopment of our city in the past few years.
Gordon Bell, Durham City.
