Heathrow Gymnastics Club in Hounslow has been given £5,000 towards the £8,000 cost of extending the vault run-up from the London Marathon Charitable Trust.
The shape of the original building has prevented a full-length run-up being provided the club intends to construct a small extension over and outside an existing doorway to add the necessary extra three metres.
A £15,000 grant is also being given to Isleworth Explorers Club towards the £18,500 cost of resurfacing an all-weather artificial grass pitch which needs replacing due to wear and tear and encroaching tree roots.
