There were some exciting matches when the Croydon Schools' Football Association's Secondary School Cup finals took place at Croydon arena last week.
Riddlesdown emerged as 2-0 winners over Edenham in the U12 Final, whilst Harris CTC won 5-3 against Ashburton Community School in the U13 event.
Croydon striker, Ibra Sekajja's penalty was sufficient for Ashburton to win the U14 Manning Shield against Riddlesdown.
Best final of the week was the Ryman Shield U15 final between Riddlesdown and St Joseph's College which ended in a 3-3 draw after extra-time.
St Joseph's College won the U16 final, 3-2, against Shirley High School.
The CSFA borough sides are in three finals in the next few days. Tomorrow (Thursday) the Under 11s travel to Brookwood (Woking) to meet Godalming Schools in the Surrey Schools' Lancaster Cup final (k.o. 6.30 p.m.) whilst on Tuesday, May 8th they entertain Bexley Schools in the South-East England Gills Shield final at Shelton Sports & Leisure Club, off Shelton Avenue, Warlingham k.o. 7 p.m.
On Thursday, 10th May, the U14s have a trip to Hassocks Football Club to take on Mid-Sussex Schools in the South-East England Eagles Trophy Final - kick-off: 7.30 p.m.
