CHESHIRE begin their RU County Championship Division One programme with a tough assignment against Lancashire at Fylde on Saturday.
Several local players are expected to be included in the Cheshire squad, which has a final training session tomorrow. Jon Sewell, of Birkenhead Park, is the Cheshire captain.
The Caldy Sevens are scheduled for Sunday at Paton Field and on Monday Birkenhead Park host two county competition finals.
Wallasey will play Crewe and Nantwich in the last stage of the Thwaites Plate. This game kicks-off at 1.30pm with the Vase final between Wirral and Northwich following at 3.30pm.
Northwich are unbeaten this season, but Wirral will not concede easily and it could be a cracking contest.
