THIS week there is the chance to help decide who becomes 2007 Bridport News Child of the Year.

Voting to decide who becomes the winner of our portrait competition began on Thursday (April 26) in our printed version of this newspaper.

All the children in our four page supplement have a chance to win our super prizes.

And this year for the first time there are three ways of voting - by phone, text or coupon.

The competition is split into four categories and your votes will decide the category winners.

Readers' votes will help decide the shortlist from which the winner will be chosen by our panel of judges.

The top four pictures in each category as voted by you will go on to that shortlist.

The judges will then select a winner in each category - and from those four pictures our Child of the Year 2007 will be selected.

Our winner will receive a magnificent 20in x 16in framed print of the winning photograph and a trophy.

All our trophy winners will be invited to a presentation ceremony at Morrisons store in Bridport to receive their prizes.

The pictures for this competition were taken by Fraser Portraits of Broadstone at the Morrisons store in Bridport and can be seen in this week's Bridport and Lyme Regis News.

The competition is now closed and no more pictures are eligible for entry.

It couldn't be easier to vote. Just pick up a copy of the April 26 print edition of this newspaper for more details.

The closing date for voting is May 13.
