TWO antique Turkish pots with a combined value of £600, have been stolen from a garden in Hanley Swan.

The pots, thought to have been made in the 19th Century, were taken from the property on the main road through the village between April 1 and 13.

Police have issued a photo of one of the pots in the hope someone will have seen them.

A spokesman said: "Both pots are highly distinctive and should be easily recognisable if they appear in a public place."

Owner of the pots, Malcolm Fare, said: "We've had them five or six years and they made a lovely feature in the garden."

Anyone who sees the pots, or believes they have been offered either of them for sale, is asked to contact police on 08457 444 888, quoting 181S/130407. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
