A SPRING fair raised more than £2,000 for charity.
Sydenham Garden, Queenswood Road, Lower Sydeham, offered stalls selling plants, crafts and books as well as a barbecue, a band and children's activities.
About 400 visitors also had the chance to see two new attractions - a thatched mud and wood bird hide and a wildlife pond.
Project manager Nick Fry said: "It was probably our most successful fair to date. It was a lovely day and everyone seemed to have a great time."
"It was also the opening of the new hide and wildlife pond and they were both very well received."
Sydenham Garden is a charity offering residents the chance to get involved in gardening and nature conservation.
In particular, it offers people with health problems the chance to work alongside volunteers.
