The Balti House 1, Gillingham Town A 0.
SKIPPER Craig Knock struck the winner for The Balti House as they captured their third successive victory in Dorset League Division Two with a fantastic team performance at Redlands.
Knock touched home Ben Stanton's low corner in the early exchanges and that proved to be the only goal as both sides continued to match each other in the sweltering conditions.
Sean Williams led by example for the hosts in midfield with his strong tackling and when Town finally did breach Balti's defence keeper Andy Nott pulled off a fantastic save to his right to preserve his side's advantage.
After the interval the Gills continued to search for a leveller but with player-boss Marco Nott outstanding at the back alongside sweeper Jimmy Simmonds, the visitors were reduced to mainly long-range efforts and set pieces.
Marco Nott nearly rounded off his superb performance with a goal late on but his thunderous header rattled the crossbar.
