A woman was left shaken after being attacked on Epsom Downs by a man who grabbed her breast.

The woman, who police say was in her 20s, was attacked between 12.15 and 12.30am on April 12.

She was approached from behind by a man who grabbed her shoulder and breast.

The attacker ran off after his victim's struggles forced the pair to the ground. Police believe he many have been disturbed by a silver car that stopped nearby.

The man is described as white, between 26 and 30, 5ft 6ins, of medium build. He was wearing a dark long sleeved hooded top and dark trousers.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Louise Passingham, from Epsom CID said: "We take any crimes such as this very seriously and would ask anyone who saw or heard what happened to come forward to assist us with our enquiries.

"In particular a silver vehicle, possibly an estate, stopped at the time of the incident and may have caused the offender to flee. Were you the driver of that vehicle? If so please come forward."
