The case against a man accused of playing a key role in the 1994 Rwanda genocide has been delayed - once again.
Extradition proceedings against Celestin Ugirashebuju, 53, a member of Frinton Parish Church, who has been in custody since he was arrested last year will now not be heard until September 17.
Mr Ugirashebuju, of Garden Road, Walton, stands accused with three others of charges of being involved in the killing of members of the Tutsi ethnic group.
A hearing had been originally fixed for May 10 and just weeks ago a bid for freedom was refused after a plea to release him on bail was turned down.
However, it will not be until November at the earliest that he takes the stand.
Churchgoers from churches in and around Frinton have been holding prayer meetings in support of Mr Ugirashebuju, a care worker.
